St. Mary's Early "Red" Bird Invitational

At the St. Mary’s Early “Red” Bird Invitational track meet on March 21st, several athletes showcased impressive performances, with multiple personal records (PRs) and standout finishes.
Miaya Williams had an excellent day, achieving a mark of 28’4″ in the Shot Put and a time of 31.35 seconds in the 200m Dash. Her efforts helped set the tone for a strong meet. Jacob Simmons also made his mark by winning the 200m and securing 2nd place in the High Jump at his very first meet.
The competition in the 55m Dash was fierce, with 5 of the top 8 finishers for the girls all delivering stellar performances. Chloe Jones dominated the 200m Dash, while Natalie Hulett in the 55m hurdles.

Other PRs included Torin Houston in the 800m Run, Kalvin Lor in the 400m Dash, Micah Heerts also impressed, setting a PR in the Shot Put, and Calvin Xiong in the 55m Dash. Ryu Xiong also set a personal best in the 400m Dash, and August Stoltz ran a PR in the 800m Run
The relay teams also performed well, with two strong 4x400m relay squads representing the girls team. Additionally, there were top 3 finishes by our boy’s and girl’s 4x400m and 4x200m relays, rounding out a day filled with strong performances and personal bests.
Overall, the meet highlighted the athletes’ hard work and setting the stage for a promising season ahead.
