Both teams were strong in the circle on Tuesday, but Tomah was just a little bit stronger at the plate in their 2-0 victory over Holmen Varsity Vikings. Gabi Stuhr started the game for Holmen Varsity Vikings and recorded 18 outs.

Tomah were the first to get on the board in the fifth when L Mathison singled, scoring one run.

Tomah scored one run in the bottom of the sixth on a solo home run to left field by A Chapman.

A Wall earned the win for Tomah. The starting pitcher surrendered two hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out 13 and walking two. Stuhr took the loss for Holmen Varsity Vikings. The starter went six innings, giving up two runs (one earned) on five hits, striking out five and walking one.

Taylor Everson and Macy Kline each collected one hit for Holmen Varsity Vikings.

Leadoff hitter Mathison led Tomah with two hits in three at bats. Tomah turned one double play in the game.

Next up for Holmen Varsity Vikings is a game against La Crosse Central on Thursday.
