
The MSU Varsity Showcase in Mankato, MN, on March 29, 2025, was a successful day with athletes setting new records and achieving top rankings in the state.
Delilah Heacox provided strong contributions to both the 4×400 and 4×800 relay teams. She ran an outstanding leg in the 4×800 with little training on the season. On the boys’ side, Jakai Ayed broke the school record for indoor hurdles and achieved the #2 time in Wisconsin. He also ran a strong anchor leg in the 4×200 and was the starting leg of the 4×400 team.
Lydia Lazarescu delivered a phenomenal performance in the 60m Dash, clocking the #2 best time in Wisconsin and breaking the junior record. Alivia Wickstrom secured the #2 all-time top 10 spot in indoor hurdles. Abry Bloyer’s converted 55m (from 60m) Dash time earned her the #3 all-time spot. The girl’s 4×800 relay team achieved a remarkable 3rd place finish, securing the #10 all-time spot in school history. Brenna Schmidt earned 2nd place and recorded the #6 best throw in Wisconsin for shot put.

Matt Hoff delivered a stellar performance in the 3200m Run, setting a new personal record (PR) and recording the 4th fastest time in school history. Ryland Eickhoff also achieved a new PR in the 60m Dash. Additionally, all three boys’ relay teams finished within the top 6.
The MSU Varsity Showcase provided a chance for our athletes to compete against top competition in Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin, and the athletes showed they belonged with some of the best.
