Macy Kline collected three hits in three at bats, as Holmen Varsity Vikings defeated Sparta 10-0 on Thursday. Kline doubled in the fifth inning, singled in the first inning, and singled in the fourth inning.

Holmen Varsity Vikings opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to two singles. Holmen Varsity Vikings first got on the board when Kaylee Mosser singled, scoring one run.

Holmen Varsity Vikings added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Imani Toso tripled down the right field line, and Lindi Larson doubled to right field, each scoring one run.

Holmen Varsity Vikings scored five runs on four hits in the top of the fifth inning. Avalee Euler doubled, scoring one run, Kline doubled, scoring two runs, and Taylor Everson singled, scoring two runs.

Gabi Stuhr earned the win for Holmen Varsity Vikings. The pitcher gave up four hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out two and walking two. I Mickelson took the loss for Sparta. The pitcher went five innings, allowing 10 runs (nine earned) on 12 hits, striking out two and walking five.

Holmen Varsity Vikings piled up 12 hits in the game. Everson, Kline, and Mosser each drove in two runs for Holmen Varsity Vikings. Toso and McKenna McHugh each collected multiple hits for Holmen Varsity Vikings. Kline stole three bases. Holmen Varsity Vikings had a strong eye at the plate, collecting five walks for the game. Holmen Varsity Vikings ran wild on the base paths, amassing six stolen bases for the game. Holmen Varsity Vikings turned two double plays in the game.

M Revels, Mickelson, K Burton, and Q Revels each collected one hit for Sparta. Sparta turned one double play in the game.

Holmen Varsity Vikings will travel to Tomah for their next game on Tuesday.
