It was a perfect day for lacrosse at Notre Dame Academy’s turf field in Green Bay, WI. The
Lightning Lacrosse team played two opponents: Pulaski’s Red Raiders and Notre Dame
Academy’s Tritons, who hosted the day’s contests.

Game recap: Vs. Pulaski Red Raiders
In the first contest, the Lightning jumped out to an early 3-1 lead in the first quarter and
extended the lead to 11-2 at half. The Lightning cruised in the second half to a 16-6 win.
Lightning improved their record to 2-2 for the season, while Pulaski dropped to 0-4.

Game recap: vs. Notre Dame Academy Tritons
In an entertaining second contest, the Lightning faced off against the Notre Dame Academy
Tritons. The Lightning previously beat the Tritons on March 29th, and the Tritons were eager for
revenge on their home turf—scoring the first to goals of the game. The Lightning clawed back to
tie the game 3-3 after the first quarter. The Tritons scored two unanswered goals in the second
quarter to lead 5-3 at the half. Each team scored three goals in the second half, finishing the game in favor of the Tritons 9-6. The Lightning dropped to 2-3 for the season. Tritons improve to 4-3 for the season.

The Lightning Lacrosse team is a varsity level WIAA-sanctioned seven-school co-op hosted by La
Crosse Central is comprised of the following schools: La Crosse Aquinas, Onalaska Luther, La
Crosse Central, La Crosse Logan, Holmen, Onalaska, and West Salem. The Lightning plays as an
independent team this year and will be part of the Badger Conference in the 2026 season.
