Holmen came out strong with Aiden Romskog leading the charge, netting two impressive goals to put the Vikings up 2-0. Karsen Nelson followed up with a powerful slap shot, extending the lead to 3-0.
But West Salem wasn’t going down without a fight. The Panthers mounted a fierce comeback in the third period, narrowing the gap to 3-2. With less than a minute remaining, the Panthers seized an opportunity, slipping past Holmen’s defense to tie the game at 3-3. The arena erupted in pandemonium as both teams scrambled for a last-second victory.
The game headed into a thrilling second sudden-death overtime of the season, with both teams leaving everything on the floor. Despite the fierce competition, the clock eventually hit zeros, resulting in a well-earned 3-3 tie.
