Holmen Makes History as First-Ever Girls Wrestling Regional Champions!

The Holmen girls wrestling team etched their names in the history books, winning the inaugural WIAA Girls Wrestling Regional Championship on their home mat! The Vikings dominated the competition, scoring 269.5 points—nearly 100 points ahead of second-place Eau Claire North—to claim the first-ever regional title in program and state history.

Individual Champions:

🥇 Kaytlynn Lambries (107 lbs) – Won by decision in the finals (11-8)
🥇 Haley Dezelske (114 lbs) – Won by tech fall in the finals (17-2)
🥇 Allison Weiss (120 lbs) – Pinned all three opponents, including a fall in the finals at 1:09
🥇 Alexa Szak (138 lbs) – Earned the title with two dominant falls
🥇 Avalee Euler (165 lbs) – Pinned her finals opponent in just 1:06

🥈 Natalie Markos (145 lbs) – Runner-up, winning by fall in the semifinals
🥈 Celia Drogseth (152 lbs) – Claimed second place with a big pin in the 2nd-place match
🥈 Sophia Walter (185 lbs) – Finished second after a strong semifinal win
🥉 Peyton Kratochvill (126 lbs) – Battled to a 3rd-place finish
🥉 Jozie Collins (132 lbs) – Secured 3rd place with a fall in the medal round
