West Salem, WI – The Holmen High School gymnastics team competed at West Salem High School on December 12th, 2024, against West Salem CoOp and Wisconsin Rapids. The team secured a second-place finish with a 132.15. Only 0.05 away from West Salem’s 132.2. The Vikings individual performances highlighted the meet.
Katie Lange showcased her strength on the vault, earning first place with a score of 8.775. Molly McBride also impressed on the vault, securing fourth place with a score of 8.3.
Nadia Trapnell excelled on both bars and beam. She earned second place on bars with a score of 8.15 and dominated the beam event, taking first place with a score of 9.15.
On the floor exercise, Mina Hawkins secured second place with a score of 8.9, followed closely by Katie Lange in third with 8.875 and Ava Amundson in fourth with 8.885.
In the all-around competition, Nadia Trapnell emerged as the champion with a total score of 33.85, while Katie Lange placed third with 32.9 and Molly McBride finished fourth with 32.375.

Holmen is gearing up for their next competition, the Snowflake Invite, on Saturday, December 14th, in Chippewa Falls. Following that, they will kick off their quest for a tenth consecutive MVC championship on Thursday, December 19th.
