The Holmen Vikings gymnastics team delivered a strong performance at the WIAA Sectional Meet on Saturday, March 1, at West Salem High School, finishing fifth in a highly competitive field of eight teams. The meet featured top programs from the area, with Chippewa Falls Co-Op (146.950) and West Salem Co-Op (140.625) securing the two qualifying team spots for the state tournament. Holmen finished with a team score of 139.550.

Individual Highlights:
Senior Katie Lange had a standout performance, qualifying for the WIAA State Championships in the All-Around competition, as well as on bars and floor. This marks her fourth state appearance on bars and second on floor.
Lange’s Scores:
- Vault: 9.000 (8th place)
- Bars: 9.125 (3rd place)
- Beam: 8.400 (24th place)
- Floor: 9.575 (1st place)
Other notable performances included:
- Ava Amundson – Floor: 9.250 (11th place)
- Mina Hawkins – Beam: 9.275 (10th place)
- Haylee Hayter – Beam: 8.825 (19th place)
- Nadia Trapnell – Beam: 8.975 (10th place)
Holmen showcased depth across all events, especially on floor, where they posted their highest team score (37.000). The Vikings’ season concludes with a strong showing at sectionals, and all eyes will be on Lange as she represents Holmen at the WIAA State Championships this weekend.
