The Holmen Vikings boys’ basketball team put on an offensive showcase Tuesday night, securing a commanding 95-71 victory over the La Crescent Lancers in a non-conference matchup at home.
Holmen set the tone early, lighting up the scoreboard with a 54-point first half while holding La Crescent to 38. The Vikings’ efficiency on offense was on full display, shooting an impressive 54% from the field and a perfect 13-for-13 from the free-throw line.
Senior [#0 Wilber] led the charge with a game-high 29 points, hitting 57% of his shots, including three three-pointers. [#21 Berget] added a dominant performance with 23 points, shooting 50% from the floor and a perfect 8-for-8 from the free-throw line. [#5 Meyer] also contributed significantly with 9 points on 66% shooting.
Defensively, Holmen controlled the boards and applied pressure throughout, forcing turnovers and limiting second-chance opportunities for La Crescent. The Vikings finished with 22 assists, showcasing excellent ball movement that kept the Lancers on their heels.
