Holmen Boys Wrestling Captures 13th Regional Title in 15 Years, Advances 13 to Sectionals!
The Holmen Vikings wrestling team continues its dominance, securing their 13th WIAA Regional Championship in the past 15 years with a team score of 250.5 points. In a hard-fought battle, the Vikings edged out West Salem/Bangor (240.5) and Marshfield (234.0) to claim the regional crown and advance to Team Sectionals.

Holmen had a strong showing across all weight classes, advancing 13 of 14 wrestlers to next weekend’s WIAA Individual Sectional Tournament at Eau Claire North.

What’s Next?
Holmen’s team heads to Hudson on Tuesday for Team Sectionals, facing New Richmond in Round 1, while West Salem/Bangor takes on Menomonie. The two winners will meet in the Sectional Final, with a trip to Team State on the line.
Individually, 13 Vikings will compete at Eau Claire North next Saturday, vying for a top-two finish to punch their tickets to the WIAA State Tournament in Madison.
