On February 1, Holmen High School hosted a non-conference basketball showdown against NRHS for their Senior Night. The Holmen Vikings secured a narrow 63-60 victory in a high-energy game that kept the crowd on the edge of their seats.

Game Recap

The Vikings came out strong in the first period, scoring 34 points while holding NRHS to 22. NRHS responded with a commanding 38-point second period, tightening the scoreline. Despite NRHS’s spirited comeback, Holmen’s disciplined play down the stretch preserved their victory.

Key Performances

• Wilber (No. 0) led Holmen’s scoring with 17 points, shooting an impressive 63% from the field and 71% from two-point range.
• Bartels (No. 23) contributed 15 points, including three clutch three-pointers and a perfect 2-for-2 from the free-throw line.
• Berget (No. 21) chipped in 12 points while maintaining a solid 100% from the charity stripe.
• Hanson (No. 14) showed versatility with five points and 100% shooting from beyond the arc.

On the defensive side, Rink (No. 13) and Berget (No. 21) were key, grabbing crucial rebounds and making timely defensive plays. Eisermann (No. 3) also made a notable impact with a team-high six assists.
