The Holmen Vikings boys basketball team secured a hard-fought 75-71 victory over Sparta on Tuesday night, completing a season sweep of their conference rivals. The Vikings capitalized on efficient shooting and strong team play to hold off a late push from the Spartans in front of their home crowd.
Holmen edged out Sparta in a high-scoring first half, leading 43-40 at the break. The Vikings continued to execute in the second half, outscoring Sparta 32-31 in a closely contested final two quarters to seal the win.
