FAN CODE OF CONDUCT

To ensure a safe and enjoyable environment at all Holmen Vikings athletics events, we ask fans to refrain from the following behaviors:

  • Using profanity or other offensive language or gestures, whether spoken, written, or appearing on apparel.
  • Smoking, including vaporizers, e-cigarettes, and smokeless tobacco.
  • Consuming alcohol or exhibiting signs of substance impairment.
  • Bringing prohibited items into the venue.
  • Throwing items or liquids.
  • Entering the playing field, court, or competition area at any time.
  • Engaging in fighting or other threatening behavior, including verbal or physical harassment.
  • Failing to retain or present tickets when requested by event staff.
  • Violating state or local laws.
  • Failing to follow instructions from Holmen athletics personnel or comply with district policies.

FAILURE TO COMPLY MAY RESULT IN EJECTION OR ARREST.

Fans are encouraged to report inappropriate behavior to the site director or event staff.


SPORTSMANSHIP

As proud members of the Mississippi Valley Conference, we prioritize first-class conduct at every Vikings athletics event. To create a safe, inclusive, and family-friendly experience, we ask all coaches, players, staff, students, and fans to:

  • Refrain from behavior or language based on race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender expression, or gender identity.
  • Respect the dignity and personal space of all staff, fans, officials, student-athletes, and opposing teams.
  • Foster an environment free from discrimination or harassment.
  • Avoid prohibited actions such as throwing objects, entering the competition area, disrupting the event, or touching others without their consent.
  • Demonstrate good sportsmanship and encourage respectful behavior from fellow fans.
  • Cheer loudly and show school pride while avoiding antagonizing or taunting others.
  • Respect all facility regulations and follow public address announcements.

COACHES AND ATHLETES

Coaches and athletes are expected to:

  • Show respect for opponents at all times.
  • Follow the rules of the game.
  • Accept decisions made by contest officials.
  • Avoid offensive gestures or language.
  • Display modesty in victory and graciousness in defeat.
  • Avoid public criticism of game officials or participants.

HOLMEN HIGH SCHOOL BAND

The Holmen High School Band plays an integral role in fostering school spirit and is expected to:

  • Select appropriate music and timing for performances.
  • Wear school-approved uniforms.
  • Show respect for officials, opponents, and spectators.
  • Respect public property and equipment.
  • Avoid offensive gestures or language.
