The Holmen Vikings fell to the La Crosse Central Red Raiders in a key MVC matchup, with Central taking a decisive 51-35 victory.  After an initial period of back-and-forth play, Central seized control of the game, establishing a commanding 27-13 lead by halftime. A significant rebounding advantage played a key role in Central’s first-half dominance.  Despite efforts to rally in the second half, Holmen was unable to close the gap, never bringing the deficit below 10 points. Central maintained their lead and secured the win.  Senior Danika Rebhahn led the Vikings’ offense with 17 points, connecting on five 3-pointers. Freshman Reese Tierney contributed 3 assists, while Junior Charley Casey pulled down 8 rebounds.  The loss sets up a matchup against another MVC rival, the Onalaska Hilltoppers, for Holmen’s next game.
