Girls Wrestling picks up 2 Wins before Bi-State
The Holmen girls wrestling team came out on top in both of their recent duals, securing impressive victories over Mukwonago and St. Croix Falls.
In the dual against Mukwonago, Holmen triumphed 46-21. The team was dominant across the board, with standout performances from Aini Anderson (who secured a fall in 1:18) and Kaytlynn Lambries (who won by fall in 3:35). Other highlights included Keionna Noel, who earned a quick fall in 0:30, and Avalee Euler, who won by fall in 2:00. Despite Mukwonago’s strength, the Holmen girls kept pushing forward and showed their resilience.
Against St. Croix Falls, Holmen earned a 51-16 victory. Alexis Maier led the charge with a fall in 0:27, and Carissa Ceresa followed up with a dominant win in just 0:10. Additional standout wins came from Haley Dezelske, who won by fall in 0:10, and Olive Bergman, who earned a forfeit win. The team continued to demonstrate their strength and determination throughout the dual, earning numerous falls and securing crucial points.
These two victories are a testament to the hard work and growth the girls have shown this season. The team’s camaraderie and fighting spirit are pushing them toward even greater successes as the season continues.
